Hassan Abbasi was former IRGC (Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps) commander, and currently he is the chief of Iran’s National Security & Strategic research center. He is also Ahmadinejad’s chief strategic counselor.

On Feb 17, 06- Aftab news site reported that, Abbasi said “Our Islamic Revolution is the only Revolution which is directed towards god; therefore, we have to be very attentive to our revolution. He added that “We never dissected the Ayatollah Khomeini’s statement when he called the United States Great Satan.” Abbasi states that “America means enemy, and enemy means Satan.” READ MORE

Furthermore, Abbasi, in a speech in Iran’s Khaje Nasser University, said a “martyr deals directly with god and sells his soul only to god.” He added “Only certain people deserve to participate in the suicide operations.” Abassi noted that “The members of Lebanon’s Hezbollah are dear, because they only sell their soul to the god.”

During Abbasi’s speech a group affiliated to the Headquarters for Commemorating Martyrs of the Global Islamic Movement launched a new recruitment drive for suicide bombers, to fight against any attacks by the United States.

Abbasi is the architect of the so-called “war preparation plan” currently under way in Iran. On September 2004, he has described Britain as “the mother of all evils”. In his lecture he claimed that the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, and the Gulf states were all “children of the same mother: the British Empire.” As for France and Germany, they are “countries in terminal decline”, according to Abbasi. “Once we have defeated the Anglo-Saxons the rest will run for cover,” he told his audience. Abbasi claims that in a game plan presented to Ahmadinejad, he has concluded that the idea of a major US military attack against Iran is “a bluff.” Our game plan shows that any attempt at imposing an embargo on Iran would push the price of oil to $110 per barrel,” Abbasi said. “And if we were to be subjected to military attack the price could top the $400 mark.”

On Feb 17, 06- The commander of the regular Armed Forces, Major General Atta’ollah Salehi, while was attending Navy maneuvers in the southern port city of Bushehr, also said We tell the enemies not to act crazily, but if they do, then they will definitely not go home in one piece. He said that Iran’s military planners had calculated all the methods and points of attack of the enemies. “If our enemies with all their strength thought that they could win against us, they would definitely have [attacked] us. They know better than anyone else that they cannot do such a thing and they cannot do a damn thing”, he added.
