Final Victory in Nuclear Dispute with Iran, Says Ahmadinejad

The final victory in the nuclear dispute would be with Iran nation despite Western intimidation, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday. 'All these threats and intimidations by the West against Iran's nuclear programme will not hinder the final victory to be that of the Iranian nation,' Ahmadinejad said during a speech in Yasuj in south- west Iran.

'Our local experts will eventually put nuclear technology to the disposal of the Iranian people and we will even demand compensation (from the West) for the loss of the last two and a half years (when Iran had suspended its nuclear programme),' he said in the speech broadcast live by national television. Ahmadinejad said Saturday that Iran would fully avail itself of peaceful nuclear technology within the current Persian year which started simultaneously with spring on March 20.

Earlier Sunday the country's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reiterated his demand that the Iranian people defy Western threats over Iran's nuclear programmes 'for maintaining its honour.'
