Workers from Sazmayeh mining company have not been paid for 15 months

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi.
In an interview with the regime-run news agency, ILNA reporter, Abbass Salari, workers representative of the Pokdasht townships said:The problems of 228 workers from Sazmayeh mining company have not been resolved and they are owed 15 months of wages and benefits. Unfortunately the problem was related to a dispute between members of the company’s management which also has not been resolved and local authorities who attempted to take action were not successful in getting things back to some kind of functioning order.”

Salari added: “Though the company has been closed since last year, the workers were paid a Norouz bonus after some of the company’s belonging and soil from the mines were auctioned by the Pakdasht public prosecutor’s office.”
