Workers protest in front of the Gilan department of industries

Gilan clothing industries Workers gathered in front of the Gilan department of industries to protest 10 months of non-receipt of their wages.

Once again the protest in front of the Gilan Workers House took on a more fervent tone and the workers announced that if the issues regarding their salaries and legal benefits are not resolved that a group of 700 workers would go to Tehran to deal with the situation head on.

The workers stated that as long as the provincial authorities and the actual management of the company do not make any attempts to resolve these issues, until they are each paid the monies and benefits that they are owed and their working conditions do not improve, the protests in front of Ahmadinejad's offices will continue. The workers added that they would remain in Gilan until Sunday, May 14th and if there is no determination in there, they will head to Tehran.
