Explosion rocks southern Tehran

Heavy explosion rocked, today, parts of southern Tehran, such as, 17 Shahrivar (former Jaleh) square and the adjacent Shahid Jahanguard and Shahid Moossavi streets. The explosion created a huge fire which took over the area.

Tens of cars and several buildings have burned or heavily damaged. There's no news yet about the number of death or injured.

Suspicious explosions or fires have increased in the Greater Tehran area in the last months in an unprecedented manner.
