The regime's nuclear crisis: out of the frying pan, into the fire

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzzi
Reza Jalaali, a member of the "People's Leadership" Party which is faction of the now defunct ruling Reformists, criticizing the policies of the Ahmadinejad administration warily commented on the nuclear issues and the referral of the regime's dossier to the U.N. Security Council. Jalaali said: "The conjecture emerging from the authorities of the Islamic regime, vis a vis the nuclear issues, is confusing and disconcerting to the world. If things continue in this vein, everyone will be consumed."

He elaborated: "While Larijani, the secretary of the High Council of National Security of Iran, threatens Europeans with resigning Iran from the NPT, then Aqazadeh, the Director of the Atomic Energy Organization of the regime, in a meeting with El Baradei in Vienna, confirms such a thing, what can be expected of the Board of Governors' reaction to such chaotic banter. Changing the focus of the discussions from westerners to easterners is like getting out of the frying pan and into the fire. One cannot see how Russia, China and India would give up their relations with the U.S. and Europe in favor of relations with the Islamic regime."
