Authorities of Rejaiishahr prisons,

We have come to know you from your obstructionism…

We the prisoners, Khaled Hardani, Behrouz Javid-Tehrani, Asad Shaqaqi et al of Rejaiishahr prison, who have lived for a significant amount of time in the most unsanitary conditions with criminals, murderers, child-molesters, smugglers and thieves, having endured all kinds of insults, abuse and torture and witnessed the basest aspects of human behavior as well as unspeakable cruelty. We put up with all this vulgarity until visitors day where the families of two of the prisoners witnessed their loved ones (the prisoners) be severely beaten in the visitor’s lounge.

Khaled Hardani suffers from severe jaw infection and scurvy, Asad Shaqaqi, from acute ulcers and various forms of digestive and renal diseases, Behrouz Javid-Tehrani who has endured countless hours of torture at the hands of the Ministry of Information and Security agents, has now gone blind and finally been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. We have all therefore decided to break our silence by going on hunger strike; all we are requesting is to be transferred to the political ward of the Evin prison.

We would also like to take this opportunity to ask the freedom-loving people of the world and the defenders of human right to hear us and request that the Secretary General of the United Nations send a delegation in order to investigate the human rights violations of the political prisoners in Iran.
