Regime fearing wrath of protesting youth postpones Soccer match

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi
The regime fearing widespread protests by exasperated Iranians [especially the youth], announced on Thursday that the Soccer match between the 2 teams, Esteqlaal and Persepolis, originally scheduled for Friday, Nov. 4th, in the hundred thousand capacity stadium in Tehran has been postponed. The reason for the postponement has been said to be the dispute between the authorities of the Organization for physical fitness and the disciplinary forces where the sales of tickets, the lack of safeguarding of the sports center and the security issues are concerned.

The supervisors of the Organization for physical fitness have announced however that the match will actually been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5th at 3PM.

Morteza Talaaii, the commander of the greater Tehran security and disciplinary forces said on Tuesday, that thousands of the regime’s disciplinary forces would be in plain clothes and sitting among the spectators during the match. Due to the extremely precarious situation that the regime finds itself in, in recent days however, extra measures had to be taken for the Saturday match in hopes that less people will show up.*

Despite all measures, it is expected that the protesting youth will turn the match into yet another massive and widespread demonstration against the regime.
