Crisis at Shahreh-Kord prison

On Wednesday night, January 4th, the Islamic regimes television reported on a series of what it described as "incidents" at the Shahreh-Kord prison. The so-called incidents are said to have resulted from the installment of a new warden to one of the wards. The report did not provide details as to the number of dead or injured.

It is worth reminding that only recently, in the Shiraz prison another such series incidents led to a 4-alarm fire which resulted in the death and injury of several of the prisoners.
