Bus driver’s union spokesman transferred to Evin prison

Based on published reports, on Monday, Feb. 27th, four members of the board of directors of the bus drivers union were summoned to the offices of intelligence and security in Tehran. Gholam-Reza Mirzaii, Saeed Torabian, Davood Razavi and Reza Shahabi showed up for their appointment and after a few hours of questioning Mirzaii, the spokesman of the union was arrested and summarily transferred to Evin prison. These interrogations and arrests come directly after last week’s statement by the revolutionary prosecutors office stating that a stay of prosecution had been issued. READ MORE

It is important to mention that following protests, lead by the families of the bus drivers union detainees, members of the Islamic Parliaments Assembly promised to work at getting all of the detained union members released on the condition that they cease and desist from any further union activity and promise to terminate any such syndication.
