Sporadic clashes at Khoy University

SMCCDI (Information Service):
Sporadic clashes happened at Khoy University, in western Iran, as members of Islamist groups attacked students who were protesting against the persistent repession in Iran and especially the mandatory veil and gender apartheid policy.

Slogans, such as, "Tahrim e Entekhabat, Vazife ye har Irani" (Boycott of elections, duty of each Iranian) or "Na roossari, Na toossari" (No veil, no submission) and "Bassiji haya kon, daneshgha ro raha kon" (Bassji feel shame, leave the university alone) were shouted by students.

The students had started their strike, since yesterday, but the attack strated today as a bigger number of students were rallying the cause.

Members of Herrassat (Intelligence of University) were seen taking pictures of protesters and confiscating any mobile phone or camera used by students.
