Fining women for improper veiling

Iran Daily, one of the regime's newspapers reported of a proposal by Shahriar Rashidi, a member of the Commission on Education and Research of the Mullahs' Parliament who suggested: "In order to control women's attire, we must fine women who are charged with improper veiling. Any woman who does not properly cover herself must pay a cash fine so that they learn to obey the rules and customs."

Rashidi also said: "Women who are improperly dressed in public and people who behave badly while in their automobiles, harm public decency and will be severely fined by Motor Vehicle agents."
