Zybari: No one denies Iran's influence in Iraq

Champress:
Iraq Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zybari said Iraq has asked some Arab countries to assist in convincing Syria to help halting violence and preventing infiltrators into Iraq.

"Zybari insisted that Syria has a role in mounting violence in Iraq. He believes that the current problem is not because the lack of capabilities to monitor borders as Syrian officials said, but because there is no Syrian political will to halt terrorism in Iraq".

"We are not accusing Syria of assisting infiltrators into Iraq, but we are complaining that the Syrian government did not take active measures to prevent infiltrators. In addition, there are many Iraqi Baathists leaders who reside in Syria", Zybari said.
On the other hand, Zybari indicated that Iran's agenda in Iraq differs from Syria's.

"Iran has a clear influence in Iraq no one can deny", Zybari concluded.
