Iran stresses solidarity with Syria against international pressure

Kuwait News Agency:
In a phone call to Syrian President Bashar Al-Asad, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad expressed on Friday solidarity with Damascus against international pressure and threats, stressing the importance of coordination between the leaderships of both countries. The two presidents agreed during their phone conversation to coordinate efforts in response to the latest international developments, said Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). On October 31, the Security Council, meeting at a ministerial level, voted unanimously on a draft resolution calling on Syria to fully cooperate with a UN commission probing the assassination of Lebanese former Premier Rafiq Hariri, or face possible sanctions.
