Political prisoners go on hunger strike in solidarity with the student freedom fighters and protesting activists

On Wednesday, December 7th, Political prisoners of Gohardasht prison in the Tehran suburb of Karadj announced that their hunger strike was in solidarity with the student freedom fighters and protesting activists.

The prisoners who lead the action are: Jafar Eqdaami, Amir-Heshmat Saaraan, Vali-Fayz Mahdavi, Mehrdad Lohrasbi, Afsheen Baâ?Timani, Behrooz Javid-Tehrani, Asad Shaqaqi and Hodjat Zamani. Wednesday was their 4th day of the strike though these prisoners live under extremely depraved conditions and are under alarming psychological and physical pressures.
