Regime security forces surround Tehran University & disconnect phones/electricity in surrounding neighborhoods

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi
Based on received reports, the streets of Tehran, especially the Tehran University area was frenzied and teaming with the regime’s security forces and plain-clothes agents.

The nefarious Islamic regime, in an attempt to preempt/control the demonstrators, blocked all streets surrounding and leading to Tehran University and prohibited all cars from entering the designated areas. Therefore the only way to access those parts of the city was via the united transit company buses and regular cabs. The electricity and telephone networks of those intensified areas as well as the neighborhood surrounding Tehran University were also officially ordered by the regime to be disconnected. Iranian radio and television programs from outside Iran were also entirely blocked. During all previous demonstrations and protests, protestors would either contact or were contacted by various Iranian radio and television networks abroad in order to offer live reports of the unfolding of the events. This time however that circuit of communications had also been completely shut off.
