The regime prepares for the Hezbollah Congress to take place in Iran

Iran Press News: Translation by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi.
Mojtaba Beegdelee, Hezbollahs spokesman in Iran in an interview with the regime-run student news agency, ISNA, said: "The Iranian Hezbollah publication will be published on April 16th. We did publish several issues in 1384* and as of early 1385, it will be published on a daily-basis. We are preparing the Hezbollah conference to take place in Tehran in early 1385 as well; the central issues of the congress will be the further investigation of the theory of the Holocaust and in relation to that we will have experts from the international community and the world of Islam who will lecture on the subject. In the west anyone who has lectured or researched the Holocaust has been severely punished. Hezbollah is prepared to defend these people’s rights [to lecture and research], on an international level. A while back the German publication Der Spiegel printed a Holocaust-related article that said that the Holocaust was in fact being investigated and now we hear that the reporter who wrote this article is having his life threatened. We announce, here and now that we hold the German government responsible for this reporters safety." READ MORE

Beegdelee then spoke of the organization of the various groups involved in the creation of their new Khaybar Satellite, saying: "So far, we've spoken to various international channels regarding them giving our programs wide coverage and it looks like we may have arrived at some kind of an agreement with one of these networks. The [programming] policy of the satellite network is to introduce the culture of alliance and Shiitism; we will have no political programming. We were unable to get the SABA network off the ground because that network was purely politically programmed; of course the approval of our high assembly of intelligence and security is of utmost importance and we would like to please them, however for the time being we have to direct our programming to the goal of promoting Shiitism; we have assured the honorable members of the high assembly that we will certainly work at promoting their political aims as well. At present hundreds of international networks exist who are out to disfigure the beautiful face of our Islam and therefore, we will be the first to create a network that will in fact defend our Islam and teach the culture of alliance. We have also created a group that will make up the Hezbollah news agency and that too will start its activities in the early months of 1385."

* The Iranian calendar (also known as the Jalaali Calendar) is a solar calendar currently used in Iran and Afghanistan. It is observation-based, rather than rule-based, beginning each year on the vernal equinox as precisely determined by astronomical observations from Tehran. The Iranian calendar was legally adopted by the Persian parliament on March 31st, 1925, specifying the adaptation of the calendar from its Zoroastrian origins to the numbering of the year which is representative of year the of Mohammad's migration from Mecca to Medina in 622 CE; the Zoroastrian origins of this is a celebration of the first day of spring, that the year is the "true solar" year "as it has been", and specifying the month names and the number of days in each month. On March 21st the year 1384 will officially end and 1385 will begin.
